Installation & Fabrication

Choosing new carpet is a big decision. At Landry & Arcari, we’re here to help you find the best fit for your style and lifestyle. Here’s a quick overview of the installation process and key considerations:

Wall to Wall

This is one of our simplest installation types. Here are key points to consider when choosing wall-to-wall carpet:

  • If there’s existing carpet, our team will remove it and install the new one.
  • We’re experienced in moving furniture. We’ll carefully relocate it during installation and return it to its original spot afterward.
  • Carpets come in different roll widths, typically 6’ to 16’. Depending on your room size and roll width, your installation may have seams. It’s best to place seams under furniture or out of high-traffic areas and select a carpet that seams well.

Stairs

We LOVE installing carpet on stairs! Each set is unique, and we can customize it to fit your style. Here are key considerations:

  • Wall-to-Wall or Runner? Decide if you want full coverage or a runner with wood showing on the sides (typically 3” to 6”).

  • Installation Styles: We offer “Waterfall,” where the carpet flows into the step below, and “California,” which upholsters the nose before going down the riser.

Cut to Fit Area Rug

Sometimes a rectangle area rug just doesn’t fit, which is when we create custom-cut rugs. While “custom” can sound expensive, we often just cut the carpet to your measurements or template it in your home.

Carpets come in widths from 6’ to 16’, and seams may be needed based on your room size. We’ll place them to minimize visibility.

We can also decide how much floor to show, usually 4” to 12” from the wall, depending on the area—like 12” around the walls and 1” near a fireplace.
